As a Lebanese-Egyptian-American who grew up in Kuwait and was educated in the United States, Hanan Sayed Worrell is an international recipe-hunter who has moved adeptly between cultures and cuisines. The book was inspired by the many meals she has hosted at her own dinner table for guests from around the world. The connections she has made professionally and through her personal life form the rich tapestry of friendships presented in Homemade in Abu Dhabi.

In a 40 day „tour de force“ photographers and food stylists Martin Nicholas Kunz and Heike Fademrecht created over 43 portraits of  Worrell’s friends, who kindly opended the doors to their homes, cooking their favorite dishes. A selection of more than 6 000 images tells a colorful story of an intimate, hospitable and diverse Abu Dhabi looking behind neat facades.
